A fun read that will leave you inspired and wanting more. My favorite part was about problem solving in life, and that you cannot use the same thinking and strategies (that created them in the first place) to solve them. Enjoyed reading this so much that I already bought the next installments.

This was listed under "Biographies", but in reality the author cites 5 or 6 of Albert Einsteins quotes and then loosely based on each quote pontificates on how we should live better. I didn't learn anything about Einstein or his life.

waste of 3 bucks

Bought the book to learn the wisdom of this great mind but ended up reading a statement he made and read what the author thought Einstein meant by it. Boring and redundant, would not recommend it to anyone. Wasn't worth the $3 I paid for it.

Claimed is a Must Have . It is a great read.

I received an ARC copy from the author in exchange for my honest review.

This was a wild ride from beginning to end--Ambra Hathaway started the night going to her engagement party, one her step father had arranged for her. She didn’t love the man she was engaged to but to save her step father and his business, she would marry the devil himself.
She went to go down to her engagement party and one minutes all is ok and next, she is kidnapped from the party by her step brother , Ethan Cartwright, who she hasn’t seen in over 3 years. One who once she told how much she loved, he disappeared out of her life. Oh the confrontation by Ambra over Ethan “kidnapping” her and whisking her off in a limo was great The scenes when they get to Ethan’s home were classic SB writing and I couldn’t get enough of the H/h lines.

There is some back story as to why Ethan stayed away and there are some really great bedroom scenes between Ethan and Ambra which is what makes this a great SB book. This is a standalone and has a wonderful epilogue which, as a reader, I very much appreciated. I think only thing I would have liked is maybe to have had a quick page or two of a young Ethan and Ambra to show them to get a glimpse of them in love before the story goes right into where she is kidnapped but that is IMO. Otherwise this is a great story and I cannot wait for the next one.

Decisions, decisions....

I received a free copy of this book as a member of Stephanie Brother's ART team for an honest review. I really like the story line and characters....Ethan and Ambra. I wasn't too keen on the fact that he "loved" her but hadn't been celibate over the 3 years they had been apart.....him waiting for her to "grow up." She did give him 2 days to prove himself which I would have loved that type of proving! I have ready pretty much everything written by Stephanie Brother and can honestly say I have been disappointed yet. If you are looking for a good book and a short read then I definitely recommend!

Porous adsorbents are widely employed for inter alia gas separation, water treatment and respiratory protection. The laboratory use of adsorption measurements is becoming increasingly important for the characterization of finely divided and porous materials.

Adsorption by Powders and Porous Solids provides a unique overview of the theoretical and practical aspects of adsorption, with particular reference to the study of the surface properties of materials of technological importance. The book gives:

* guidance on the determination and interpretation of adsorption data.

Worthy Successor

A long-awaited but worthy successor to the book considered by many to be the bible of porous materials characterization: "Gregg & Sing" (2nd Edition, 1982). This collaboration between the Rouquerols and Ken Sing has created a detailed handbook covering not only important theoretical aspects, but copious experimental and application information too. Adsorption calorimetry gets more attention than before (not surprising given the Rouquerols' affiliation), as do "new" materials such as MCM's and "new" calculation models like DFT (Density Functional Theory) and Monte Carlo simulation. Importantly, there is a great deal of coverage given to adsorptives other than nitrogen (the most common but not necessarily the most appropriate in all cases). Hundreds of references are given for follow-up reading in areas of special interest. Anyone seeking a reliable, broad, yet highly informative coverage of adsorption methodology for porous materials characterization should invest in this title.

New growth ahead, great read!

I thought it might be an interesting read, but I had no idea that it would captivate me through completion. The author has a very engaging style - it felt conversational throughout. Incredible page-size photos, almost every-other page. Looking forward to reading it more slowly, to absorb all the good stuff in this book. I look forward to putting this system to work. Happy to write again once I've had hands-on experience.

A serious and very convincing argument. I haven't tested this yet...my plants were too far along and too severely pruned to follow the instructions in this book. I've got a plant in veg now, gorgeous, healthy, un-trimmed plant. I think I'll give this technique a try, though it will be a while.

A dozen process dramas

While these process dramas are specifically written for ages 7-11, I have found they can be used effectively anywhere in the k-8 curriculum. These process dramas are written to be used by teachers with and without experience using process dramas in the classroom. Subjects of these process dramas cover moral issues such as bullying, historical events, science, and English. Many of the process dramas include additional ideas for extending the English components with more in-depth reading and writing assignments.

These lessons are easy to pick up and go, spelling out each step. At the beginning of each lesson is the goals, required items (such as markers), and the amount of time needed for the lesson.

The strength of these lessons is shown in the variety of activities that will engage all your students. I have used these lessons successfully in elementary and middle school curriculum.

I would love to see these authors create a high school version, or a set of process dramas that emphasize dramatic technique like the Charles 1 drama emphasized the importance of vocal work.

Caution - Wiley paperback edition incomplete

I ordered the paperback copy of this book. It turned out to be some sort of Wiley "Custom Edition" that intentionally omits chapters 9, 10, 11, 13, and any chapters above chapter 14. So if you want Laplace transforms, basic s-domain analysis and the other missing topics, you'll have to order the "real" book rather than the paperback edition. I am returning the paperback and re-ordering the harbound edition.
